Welcome to the Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR) Validation Suite

The Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR) Validation Suite is intended to be used for ONC Health IT certification testing. The validation suite provides functionality to test HIT senders. The ELR test tool covers the §170.314(f)(4) Inpatient setting only – transmission of reportable laboratory tests and values/results and §170.315(f)(3) Transmission to public health agencies – reportable laboratory tests and values/results ONC criteria. Use the Context-based Validation Tab for ONC certification testing.

HIPAA Notice

In compliance with requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), parties using this HL7 v2 validation tool via this Prometheus Computing, LLC website shall not use real data containing Protected Health Information (PHI) or individually identifiable health information. Due to patient confidentiality rules regarding PHI, this software must not be used via the Prometheus Computing, LLC website for validation of messages containing real patient information.
